How to Vote
School board races are easy to miss on the ballot. Here's exactly what to do.
Vote for three.
The Board of Education race sits in its own section, further down the ballot than the offices at the top. Don't stop early — find it, and select all three names.

1. Check your registration
The deadline to register for the November election is Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Check whether you're registered — it takes a minute — or register through the State of New Jersey .

2. Choose how you want to vote
By mail
Apply for a mail-in ballot online at least 7 days before Election Day — by October 27, 2026. Miss that? You can still pick one up in person from the Essex County Clerk until 3 p.m. the day before Election Day. Return your ballot by mail (postmarked by 8 p.m. Election Day), or drop it in a county secure drop box or at the Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Applications are available in Chinese, Hindi, Gujarati, Korean, Spanish, and other languages.
Early, in person
October 24 – November 1, 2026, at any early voting location in Essex County — no appointment needed. Sites are open at least 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sundays.
On Election Day
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at your polling place. Polls are open 6 a.m.–8 p.m.

3. Vote for all three
You may select up to three candidates for Millburn Board of Education — please vote for Anna Ostrovsky, Prasoon Saurabh, and Christian Germa.
